This is a 1.5-2 day training to learn how to assist midwives in an out of hospital setting.
 We cover all the basic skills like taking vital signs, sterile technique, estimating blood loss, emergencies, charting, etc. Class size is limited!

“Helping Babies Breathe (HBB) is a global curriculum for neonatal resuscitation specifically designed to simplify and demystify the resuscitation steps. The skills-based curriculum focuses on enhancing birth attendants' understanding and basic resuscitation skills through active learning with simulation, emphasizing practice with peers to develop teamwork, good communication, and reflective learning with self-improvement.”*

DAY 2-HELPING MOTHERS
SURVIVE BLEEDING AFTER BIRTH

​Bleeding after Birth is a one-day module designed for
teams of health workers who provide care for women
and newborns. The content aims to build skills
around team communication, active management of
third stage of labor, and early detection and basic
management in order to reduce maternal deaths
caused by post-partum hemorrhage.

​
After taking either, or both, or these trainings you will be eligible to continue your path to become a Master trainer and/or to train other Facilitators.
​

Target Audience: These courses are designed for all providers interested in, or already working in,  the field of global health in pediatric/neonatal care. This includes physicians, midwives, advanced practice providers, nurses, and students.
